Online abacus classes for children in the UK
Live, small-group abacus lessons taught over video call by certified instructors. Children aged 4 to 14 learn on the INDIGO programme from home — no travel, no after-school rush.

How our online abacus classes run
Live, not recorded
Every class is taught in real time by a certified instructor. Children ask questions as they go and get corrected on the spot — the recording is a backup, not the lesson.
Small groups
Batches are usually 4 to 6 children, so the instructor can watch each child's abacus work during the session rather than only marking it afterwards.
Once or twice a week
Sessions run 45–60 minutes. Most families choose one or two a week, and the schedule is agreed with you rather than fixed in advance.
What your child needs to take part
The setup is deliberately light. Most families already have everything except the abacus itself.
A laptop or tablet
With a camera, so the instructor can see your child's abacus and hand position.
A stable internet connection
Classes are taught over video call.
A physical abacus
We recommend the right one after your trial. They cost roughly £5–10 online.

Who teaches the classes
BeadBrains is a certified Licensed Partner of INDIGO Mental Training Club. Classes are taught by certified instructors, your child learns on the INDIGO platform, and progress is recognised with INDIGO certificates at every level and entry to the international INDIGO competitions.
Fees, timetable and teaching are set and delivered by BeadBrains.
Class times and scheduling
Because classes are online, the timetable is built around your week rather than a building's opening hours. After-school and weekend slots are the most common choice for families in school.
Weekday morning slots between 9am and 12pm UK time are also available. If you educate at home, our morning classes for homeschool families are built specifically around that routine.
Fees
Classes are £95 per child per month. Families enrolling two or more children pay £80 per child per month, and a three-month advance option is available at £265 per child. All plans include live weekly classes, class recordings and the digital workbook.
The three-month advance option is a separate discounted payment option and is not combined with the sibling rate unless a different arrangement has been expressly agreed. Full details are on the pricing section of our homepage.
